NSS Unit, Swayam Siddhi Degree Night College, Bhiwandi completed the Tree Plantation activity on 04/02/2022 at NSS Adopted Village Lakhivali under the guidance of Village Member Mr. Ashish Patil. Respected Sarpanch & Upsarpanch were present on the field. 1st Tree planted in presence of villagers, college staff & volunteers. Respected Principal Dr. G.S. Shikhare gave direction during overall activity. 25 Sapling planted on the day of various types i.e. Mango, Vad, Pipal, etc. Tree gives off oxygen that we need to breathe. Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding. Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals. Activity concluded with thanking speech by NSS PO. Prashant Jadhav.
